Lori M. Sousa

Lori Sousa is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Roberts Wesleyan College where she teaches classes on Public Policy, Diversity and Community Practice. She is a Graduate of Syracuse University where she received her Masters of Social Work and St John Fisher College where she received a BA in History and Political Science. In 2000 Ms. Sousa visited Israel for the first time and since then has held positions in several pro-Israel Christian organizations. She has worked with Eagles’ Wings Ministry (EWM) to develop and expand the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) since its foundation in 2002, and currently serves as the DPPJ Northeast Regional Coordinator. Ms. Sousa is also a regional “Watchman on the Wall” trainer where she teaches Christians about Israel and encourages believers to become informed to effectively articulate issues surrounding Israel. In addition Ms. Sousa serves as the Associate New York State Director of CUFI (Christians United for Israel) where she oversees the Annual Greater Rochester Night to Honor Israel; coordinates annual Israel advocacy trips to Washington D.C and facilitates “Stand with Israel” events.At the local level she directs the Office for Israel Programs at Bethel Christian Fellowship where she oversees strategic pro-Israel initiatives in the Greater Rochester region including the coordination of regional trips to Israel aimed atenabling Christians to experience Israel to gain an accurate understanding of the issues that Israel currently faces.
